3rd Hat Flip [Voice/Action] Backdated to right after the draftees return

[ There's a brief pause after Firo turns on the journal. It's more difficult than he thought to make the announcement; when he tried writing it out he found he could barely move the pencil. He decides to keep it brief and just manages to keep most of the emotion out of his voice. ]

Seto's dead. 

[Action]

[ Shortly after his journal post Firo steals off to take a walk. He's avoiding the center of the village for once, staying around the fringes instead. Finding it difficult to deal with this mixture of grief and anger, he'll occasionally pause to punch or kick some poor tree. ]

Yeah, so am I. Doesn't fix anything.

[ As he lapses into silence, he realizes how rude that sounds, and that Seto would probably be upset with him for talking like that. ]

...Sorry.

[moezama]

It's fine...he'll be back soon. We should...let's look forward to his return instead.

[immamartillo]

[ Firo sighs and doesn't speak for a moment. ]

It doesn't feel right to sit around and do nothin' while he's off on his own.

[moezama]

We can't do anything about it right now, can we? [...]

Seto did want to have cookies before Christmas...

I... I don't know. Any idea where people go before they come back to life?

[ He's not expecting anyone to know the answer to that.

Kazuma's next statement catches him by surprise, but he's willing to do anything to make things a little better for Seto's arrival. ].

You think that'd help?

W-Well, Seto wanted to make cookies for Santa...and give them out to his friends. [...] He won't be able to do that now so... [Maybe they should do it? :|;;]

And I think the Malnosso might have him. Probably...

You got any idea where they'd be keepin' him? It's not like I think he'd be easy to find... but I'd rather go look for him than bake cookies.

[ Though failing that, he'll bake them. He needs to do something for Seto. ]

[moezama]

No...I don't think anyone does, but the Malnosso do.

...It's what he wanted to have by Christmas, so I thought...well, it was just an idea.

Shoulda' guessed.

...It's not such a bad idea. You wanna try it out?

[ He needs some sort of distraction. ]

[moezama]

Ah, I don't mind if you want to. Do you want me to come over or...you?

[immamartillo]

...Can I go over there?

[ He doesn't want to admit it, but the empty apartment is creeping him out. ]

[moezama]

...Sure. I'm at House 48. [He doesn't think his housemate will mind...and Miss Litchi was nice]

I think we have all the supplies here to make cookies already. [Plenty of eggs at least]

[immamartillo]

House 48...

[ There's a rustling of paper, the sound of a hard object falling to the floor and a curse as Firo attempts to find his map. A moment later, he clears his throat and speaks into the journal again. ]

Okay. So would now be a good time to do it?

[moezama]

That's fine. I'll go ahead and set things up then.

[immamartillo]

Great. Thanks. I'll be over in a jiffy. You sure there's nothin' I should pick up on the way?

[ooc: Would you like to move to action?]

[moezama]

Um... [He's already in the kitchen, looking for supplies.] Could you grab some flour? And if you want to make some variety you can grab some extra ingredients if you like. I think we only have ingredients to make chocolate chip right now.

[ooc: Sure!]

I think chocolate chip works. And I've got some flour around here somewhere. ...Thanks.

[ He quickly shuts the journal and takes off. It takes Firo about half an hour to reach the house, flour in hand. Minding his manners for once, he knocks once and waits for Kazuma. ]

[moezama]

[Kazuma will answer a moment later. He has a content expression on him, trying not to let the conversation they had just a while ago bother him too much.]

Ah, welcome... [He opens the door a little wider.] Everyone's out right now, but Miss Litchi already said we could use the kitchen.

[Action]

[ Firo manages a hint of a smile in greeting. It feels good to get out of the apartment for a bit. ]

Thanks.

[ He steps inside, holding up the bag of flour. A few particles accidentally escape and float their way down to the floor. He doesn't notice. ]

Got the flour. I couldn't really think of anything else Seto'd like, so ya think we'd be safe with just chocolate chip?

[g-geh, he'll..just have to clean that up later.]

Careful with that...and I think it should be ok. We could also make sugar cookies too. Those are pretty simple, just in case.

[ He adjusts his grip on the bag and only manages to spill more. You can still kick him out of your house before it's too late, Kazuma. ]

That sounds good. Kids like stuff like that, right? We don't wanna make anything too weird.

[and after you took all that time to come here...?]

Yea...[He'll close the front door once Firo was inside. It is way too cold outside...]

He didn't mention anything to you about Santa did he?

[ He inclines his head to one side as he tries to recall.]

Santa? I don't think so.

[ Which is good, because Firo probably would have ruined it for him. ]
