[ When he speaks to the journal, Firo's voice is hurried and aggravated. This mess is all his fault, and even he's not dense enough to avoid realizing that. ]

Hey, has anybody seen a kid around here? He's about 12 or 13; messy brown hair, kinda short. He wears this blue.... dres-, uh, coat thing. If you see him, tell him to stay right where he is and I'll come find him.

[ There's another grumble of frustration, and he lowers his voice. ]

And if anybody touches him I'll make you pay, ya hear me?

[ Given his worried state (and Firo's general lack of intimidation skill) it doesn't sound as threatening as he would have wanted it to. ]

[ Firo has to admit that losing Seto once again pretty much takes the cake in failures he's had. This has to be the fourth or fifth time the kid has managed to slip out on Firo. Kind of sad for someone whose job used to rely on being observational.

He leaves Community Building 3 and runs toward the village, angrily berating himself under his breath. It's gotten into his head that something terrible could happen to Seto, and it'll be all his fault. Whether or not Seto gets hurt, Firo's not doing his job as brother too well. 

Perhaps he's run straight into you, as Firo tends to do. Or maybe you just want to know what's up with the weirdo running through town. ]

[ Firo manages to regain his balance and looks down at Mao, offering him a hand up. ]

Oh... sorry about that.

_{[He looks up, smiling sheepishly and takes Firo's hand.]}

I'm fine so don't worry about that....

Good.

[ Firo helps pull Mao up. Then immediately on to the next order of business, since Firo has a one track mind. ]

Have you seen Seto anywhere?

[ Even though seeing as how Mao's new he might not even know who that is. ]

[action!]

Seto?

_{[Mao met him already! But he didn't know Seto was Firo's friend.]}

No, I haven't see him. Why?

[action!]

[immamartillo]

Ah, geez.

[ He runs a hand through his hair, sighing in vexation. If only he'd kept a better eye on him... ]

He slipped out and I have no idea where he's gone.

[action!]

_{[He makes a thoughtful look.]}

You're worried about him, aren't you? I can help you look for him.

[action!]

[ He nods. ]

Thanks. He shouldn't be out on his own like this.

He shouldn't be? What do you mean by that?

[action!]

He...

[ For a brief moment, Firo wrestles with his natural inclination to just ignore the Draft. ]

He's got a problem with his eyes. He can't see right.

[action!]

_{[Mao is silent for a moment, before speaking up again]}

...Then why did he go alone?

[action!]

[ Because Firo's terrible at caring for children. ]

...I dunno. I guess he got bored.

[ He shrugs, hoping Mao won't notice that he didn't answer the question. ]

Just bored?

_{[Mao makes a doubtful look.]}

Are you sure?

[ Firo nods. ]

It's not like he's a bad kid or anything. He wouldn't do it just to be annoyin'. Who wouldn't get bored bein' stuck inside all day?

Well, I guess you're right...

He'll just hafta get used to it until he's better.

Hey, you have any ideas for somethin' he could do?

Hmm...

Is there anywhere he likes going to? Like his favorite place or something? Or maybe he wanted to visit someone?

[action!]

He normally just walks around and bumps into somebody eventually. The problem is... He's got a lotta friends here, so I'm not sure where to start.

[action!]

Maybe you should try asking those who live nearby first? Maybe they've seen him.

[action!]

Good idea. I talked to our neighbor, but I don't think he woulda' stayed near the building. I'll check around the places up the road.

[ He gives a small smile. ]

No problem. And I'll help you with that! It'll be quicker, right?

_{[he looks a bit worried now.]}

...I hope that we'll find him soon.

Really? Thanks a lot!

[ Firo nods and his brief smile fades. ]

Yeah. Me too. He can't have gone too far away. I don't think he'd go into the woods...

[action!]

Yeah, he couldn’t have gone that far... Alright, let's hurry up and find him!

[action!]

Right.

[ He picks a direction and starts walking, glancing all around. ]

So, you've met Seto before?

[action!]

[blazing_heart]

Yeah! When I first got here, he was one of the people who helped me.

[action!]

[immamartillo]

He's a good kid, isn't he?

[ His smile abruptly vanishes. ]

Hey... He wasn't supposed to be off by himself then, either!
