[Somewhere in Luceti, Firo's draped over a tree branch, asleep and freshly returned from his mallynapping. He looks a little worse for the wear, but he's out of the woods (figuratively) now, isn't he?

Unfortunately, gravity's not going to give him a break today, and as soon as he shifts in his sleep Firo goes tumbling to the ground. How's that for a wake up call?

It's not far of a fall, but Firo's incredibly ungraceful landing doesn't do him any favors. There's a crunching sound as he hits the ground, twisted around so that he lands on his left hand.]

Ah-! Ow-! Shit!

[Firo stays lying like that for a moment: both in the process of waking up and cursing everything from the malnosso to the tree- whatever he can blame for this situation. Then, with some reluctance, he rolls onto his side and stares at his hand with a mixture of pain and consternation. Unlike what he's become used to over the past few years, it stays stubbornly broken. His eyes widen. This is not how it's supposed to work...]

What? Why isn't it-?

[He tries to flex his fingers and winces; it's then that he catches a glimpse of his journal lying open nearby. Great. Of course it had to show off one of his less dignified moments.]

Damnit... Are you kiddin' me?

[Sighing and gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulls himself into a sitting position. Arms crossed over his chest, he takes a deep breath and tries to recover some aplomb.]

So... Guess I'm back. Screw this place.

[ooc: Firo's back from being mallynapped and is now going to be without his immortality for a while. After a few weeks it'll return to its normal Luceti dampened state.]

So you have a point there. Still, your patience isn't the best when compared to Ennis and Maiza.

[He can't help but laugh, his mood briefly buoyed at the thought of his friends.]

So what? Nobody can compare to those two. You ever seen either one mad?

I've seen Maiza upset before, but I haven't known Ennis long enough to see how often she gets upset.

[Though to be honest, the last time he ever saw Maiza upset was hundreds of years ago. But that's partially because he just saw him again for the first time in forever for a few days before he got here]

[Good job, Czes. Now sentimentality is distracting Firo from his frustration.]

I've only ever seen Maiza angry once, and I've known him eight years. Ennis... never.

[Which is pretty impressive considering she puts up with Firo on a daily basis.]

[Czes has tamed the beast]

I'm sure Ennis will eventually crack one day when you've driven her crazy enough.

[And when it comes to Ennis he actually pays attention.]

That doesn't mean anything. Just because you know someone for a few years doesn't mean you know what they're really like and who they really are.

[It comes out with a bit more bitterness than he would've liked but there you have it. It just makes him angry when people think like that. Czes did but he learned the ugly truth about someone he thought he knew.]

[Czes's tone sets Firo off guard. Perhaps if he were more perceptive he'd realize that there's something else on his mind.]

I'm sure she'd have her reasons. All people do.

Ennis isn't like that. C'mon, you've met her. If she's keepin' a secret then it's somethin' that doesn't matter or she just doesn't need to talk about it.
