[Somewhere in Luceti, Firo's draped over a tree branch, asleep and freshly returned from his mallynapping. He looks a little worse for the wear, but he's out of the woods (figuratively) now, isn't he?

Unfortunately, gravity's not going to give him a break today, and as soon as he shifts in his sleep Firo goes tumbling to the ground. How's that for a wake up call?

It's not far of a fall, but Firo's incredibly ungraceful landing doesn't do him any favors. There's a crunching sound as he hits the ground, twisted around so that he lands on his left hand.]

Ah-! Ow-! Shit!

[Firo stays lying like that for a moment: both in the process of waking up and cursing everything from the malnosso to the tree- whatever he can blame for this situation. Then, with some reluctance, he rolls onto his side and stares at his hand with a mixture of pain and consternation. Unlike what he's become used to over the past few years, it stays stubbornly broken. His eyes widen. This is not how it's supposed to work...]

What? Why isn't it-?

[He tries to flex his fingers and winces; it's then that he catches a glimpse of his journal lying open nearby. Great. Of course it had to show off one of his less dignified moments.]

Damnit... Are you kiddin' me?

[Sighing and gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulls himself into a sitting position. Arms crossed over his chest, he takes a deep breath and tries to recover some aplomb.]

So... Guess I'm back. Screw this place.

[ooc: Firo's back from being mallynapped and is now going to be without his immortality for a while. After a few weeks it'll return to its normal Luceti dampened state.]

[Rooting through the fridge with one hand is kind of slow going, so he's not entirely sure what they have.]

Strawberries please!

[Beaming]

Here they are!

[He emerges from the fridge to offer the strawberries to Seto, but quickly yanks them back out of reach.]

Hang on.

[He turns to the sink, trying to balance the strawberries on the edge with his elbow as he moves for the water...

...And there they go tumbling into the sink.]

[He continues to smile, waiting eagerly for his strawberries when he hears the thudding in the sink. He blinks]

What was that?

...Uh. Nothin'.

[He frantically tries to scoop the strawberries back into their container, checking for damage.]

...Do we have any more?

I'm not sure. I don't know if Kazuma went shopping yet.

[Seto would do it himself if he could see but alas, he can't]

Uh-huh...

[Well, shoot. In his childhood, he certainly ate things off of more dubious surfaces but he won't risk that with Seto.]

I'm just gonna check again to, uh, see how much we have.

[Once again, he starts rooting through the refrigerator, silently begging fate or the refrigerator gods or whatever that there will be some unruined strawberries.]

Okay. [He almost adds a tone that makes it sound like there's a question mark at the end]

Is everything okay?

Um.

[He contemplates trying to keep up the charade that everything's fine and dandy, but realizes that Seto probably won't be fooled. It's better to just come out with it all right away.]

[Seto doesn't say anything for a moment and then laughs, touching the counter with his finger tips, making his way to the sink where he heard the sound]

They should still be okay. [Reaching around for them]

You think?

[He sighs in relief, but jumps when he sees Seto moving.]

Hey, be careful.

[He rushes over to hover unhelpfully behind Seto to make sure he doesn't fall or trip.]

Yeah! I don't think you dropped them from too high up, right? [Pls Firo, he's got this.

He starts to grab each strawberry one by one, holding what he can in his free hand]

No, no I didn't...

[He moves up beside Seto to try and help him pick them up. He probably succeeds in getting in the way as much as he does helping.]

Well, if you're fine with 'em like this. Just thought the sink might be dirty or somethin'.

[It looks clean, but Firo knows enough to realize that you can't actually see germs.]

I'm sure it's fine.

[He chuckles when he feels Firo's hand searching around for them along with him and holds them up when he gets a handful] We'll just rinse them off again if you're that worried.

I'm not worried...

[He's just nagging because he feels like it! (Because he's worried).]

Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll get the water.

[He reaches over to turn on the faucet, nudging Seto's hands in the general direction of the water.]
