[After having a close friend return home a few weeks ago, Firo's been largely keeping to himself. He was aware of the danger of losing friends in Luceti, but it always seemed abstract and alien until it actually happened.

It's boredom that finally prompts him to address the network. That and the concern that if he doesn't keep using his skills he'll be near useless when he gets back home. Why not kill two birds with one stone?]

Does anybody here wanna play cards? Any kinda game is fine, or even if you just wanna learn. Most of 'em aren't that hard to pick up and I don't mind teachin' anyone.

[His tone suddenly becomes less light and takes a turn for the grouchier.]

But if you're gonna cheat, save it. I'll know.

[He wasn't put in charge of a Family casino for nothing.]

[Soon after he makes his message, Firo will be rummaging through the item shop for a few packs of cards, carefully going through each one he finds to make sure they're complete. Then he'll linger a little while by the art supplies to pick up some markers.

...No, he is not going to be using them to mark the cards.]

Hey, don't be ridiculous.

[He knows Firo is no doubt good at cards but hey, Czes knows a thing or two too]

How about the Good Spirits bar? It's not the Alveare but it's something to create a familiar atmosphere.

Sounds good. I'll see ya there in a few minutes, okay? I'm not too far away. I got the cards, too.

[CLOSING HIS JOURNAL. And he'll get on his coat and shoes to head on out. Once he's there he'll pick a table and sit down, waiting for Firo]

[Firo arrives a few minutes later, cards in hand. As soon as he spots Czes, he smiles and waves.]

Hey, Czes!

[Sure hope you didn't give anyone in here one of your fake names!]

[OAERGIOHAERG GOD DAMMIT FIRO.

DON'T SAY HIS NAME IN PUBLIC.

At least not until he knows he's in the clear.

Dammit.

So he doesn't react in an obvious 'hey I know you' way and just gives a small wave as he takes a big sip of his drink]

[After taking a quick moment to order a drink, Firo plops down across from Czes, not being subtle about it at all.]

I brought the cards, you ready to play?

[Sigh.

Firo pls.

Why do you make his life difficult]

I've been ready for a while now. [You took to long to get here slowpoke] What are we playing?

[It's his job!

Firo smiles and sets down the cards, refusing to let his mood be dampened by any snide insinuations.]

You got a preference? I didn't bring anything to gamble with, but I don't think that matters too much, does it?

Czes doesn't cheat okay. He wins using his cunning ways]

[Firo hands them over./small>]

They're new, so make sure you shuffle 'em.

[A nod as he takes them then begin to shuffle them a few times. After loosening them up and getting the cards nicely shuffled, he places two face down in front of Firo, then himself with one card face up (let's say the up card is a 3) and places the deck off to the side.]

You're up.

[And so Czes places an face up 6 card in front of Firo.

HOW MUCH YOU GOT BRO]

[With that 6 added to his two other cards, he's teetering right at 20. He deliberates for a brief moment as he inspects the card.]

Stand. What about you?
