[It's early in the morning-after a night of much boredom and little sleep- when Firo opens his journal.]

I've been wonderin': what kinda weapons do people use back where you guys come from? Where I live, people'll fight with anything from fists to tommy guns, but I figure everywhere's gotta have somethin' different.

[Later that morning, Firo sets off running for the Battle Dome. He hasn't been too pleased with himself lately: he failed to be effective against the droids that attacked a few weeks ago, and then he couldn't even protect his friend from being mallynapped. Actually, ever since Ennis was kidnapped before his arrival in Luceti he's felt nagging feelings of uselessness. They've only been intensified by recent events.

He has to get stronger. The capos of his Family would be disappointed if they saw him like this. In the back of his mind Firo can practically hear Yaguruma berating him.

He spends most of the day at the Battle Dome, focusing on training until he's ready to drop (though feel free to interrupt him). Maybe trying to go so long without a break isn't a good idea, but that doesn't matter to Firo at this point. When nightfall comes, he wanders outside and slumps by the door, exhausted.

I've been in one of the simulations before. Some kid I met a while back let me see what his world looked like.

Oh, yeah? Didn't know you could use 'em for that.

So who's this kid? A friend a' yours?

Not really. He just offered to show anyone the simulation he made so I took him up on his offer.

[Slightly disappointed.]

Have you made any friends since you got here?

Not really. [Said like he doesn't really care.]

I can introduce ya to some people, if ya want.

[He doesn't want to be pushy, but he doesn't want Czes to get lonely.</small.]

Thank you, but that's okay. I'm sure your friends wouldn't be all that interesting.

[Like that blind kid who lives in your house--]

[That sentence started off so politely that it takes Firo a moment to realize that he and his friends have just been insulted.

Wh-? Hey! You can't say that when ya don't even know 'em.

[YOU WATCH YOUR MOUTH, PUNK.]

Well you've never had the best of friends, Firo. With the exception of Maiza and Ennis of course.

[Yes they are his favorites shhhh]

What? There's nothin' wrong with Luck or Berga or Keith or Claire-

...I mean, they're a little weird sometimes, but they're good guys! And Seto and Mac and Grune and the rest of 'em here are all fine too!

[Sigh.]

What's with you? I don't remember you havin' problems before with those guys.

[Or maybe he just didn't notice...]

[He almost twitches at the name Claire. So Firo knows him? Oh god how can he even stand to be around that man.

But if he doesn't know his true nature and how ~~terrified~~ unsettled Czes can get around him, then he's not going to say anything. He can't going around talking about a weakness like that.]

You'd be surprised. [Straightening his jacket] So what time am I coming over?

What? Did somethin' happen?

[Firo knows he's stupid, but he would have thought he'd notice something like that. He ignores Czes's next question in favor of waiting for an answer.]

It's nothing you need to be concerned about. [He's really not in the mood to talk about this.

..Okay well even if he was he wouldn't say anything] What time, Firo?

[Should he press it? After a moment of just staring at Czes, he decides not to. If anything really bad happened, Luck or Berga would've told him. Except they didn't know about it either and Claire didn't exactly specify who he tortured... But Firo doesn't know that. Besides, he doesn't want to jeopardize their relationship. Czes will talk when he's ready, Firo's sure.]

You can just come back with me now, if ya want.

[Except he probably won't say a word about it ever! :D]

[Brat >:|

He's happy to hear that Czes doesn't seem to have a problem with coming over, so he grins and gives him a little pat on the head. With his left hand, of course. And then he'll try to start for the exit before Czes can protest too much.]

Great. C'mon!

[Even though it's his left and, Czes flinches and kind of ducks his head out of instinct. He trusts Firo, but to an extent. Really, his trust in any immortal still hasn't quite recovered yet, but it's understandable why right?

But with Firo on the move now, he'll follow]

[Firo notices the reaction as he's already turning to walk away. That's right, this Czes barely knows him. It was a stupid mistake to make, and as he looks back to hold the door open for Czes he wonders if he should apologize or forget about it.]

Sorry.

[He just shakes his head a little, as if to say "don't worry about it" and walks through the door]

[He nods and starts walking, keeping an eye on Czes.]

So... what do you want for dinner?

[If Czes is going to brush off his apology, maybe this'll help make it up to him. A bit.]

It doesn't matter, anything is fine.

[Czes has never been the picky type]

Well, okay... Got any suggestions, then?

[Come oooon, bro, tell him what you like.]
