6th Hat Flip [Accidental Video/Action]
[Somewhere in Luceti, Firo's draped over a tree branch, asleep and freshly returned from his mallynapping. He looks a little worse for the wear, but he's out of the woods (figuratively) now, isn't he?
Unfortunately, gravity's not going to give him a break today, and as soon as he shifts in his sleep Firo goes tumbling to the ground. How's that for a wake up call?
It's not far of a fall, but Firo's incredibly ungraceful landing doesn't do him any favors. There's a crunching sound as he hits the ground, twisted around so that he lands on his left hand.]
Ah-! Ow-! Shit!
[Firo stays lying like that for a moment: both in the process of waking up and cursing everything from the malnosso to the tree- whatever he can blame for this situation. Then, with some reluctance, he rolls onto his side and stares at his hand with a mixture of pain and consternation. Unlike what he's become used to over the past few years, it stays stubbornly broken. His eyes widen. This is not how it's supposed to work...]
What? Why isn't it-?
[He tries to flex his fingers and winces; it's then that he catches a glimpse of his journal lying open nearby. Great. Of course it had to show off one of his less dignified moments.]
Damnit... Are you kiddin' me?
[Sighing and gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulls himself into a sitting position. Arms crossed over his chest, he takes a deep breath and tries to recover some aplomb.]
So... Guess I'm back. Screw this place.
[ooc: Firo's back from being mallynapped and is now going to be without his immortality for a while. After a few weeks it'll return to its normal Luceti dampened state.]

[Grune doesn't care about your gangster pride, Firo. :|]
[Action]
[It's pretty obvious a lie, especially considering he doesn't even make eye contact while saying it. He figures it's okay since it's a nice one as far as fibs go.
It's just not really what most people'd expect from someone in my, um... profession.
[Action]
...Until he confuses her, at least.]
Isn't it?
[Action]
[He can attest that Grune herself is quite scary at times.]
[Action]
[She is never going to understand this, no matter how he tries to explain it.]
[Action]
[That might be less of a problem if his job was legal.]
[Action]
[It's a very strange thing think about. Why wouldn't someone give their job their all?]
[Action]
I wish. It'd make my job a whole lot easier. And on top a' our people slackin' off there're customers who try to cheat and stuff.
[Action]
[It's quite obviously completely beyond her.]
[Action]
[She probably won't understand that either, but he can't think of any other way to put it. He shrugs.]
It's just how people are.
[Action]
Oh, no, that can't be right.
[Action]
[Action]
[...Maybe? Possibly?]
[Action]
[Maybe if he didn't resort immediately to physical harm as a way of "telling" them...]
[Action]
Do you think they forgot?
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
...When the consequences are strict enough, people don't forget. They just try to be sneakier.
[Action]
I'm sure that's not true. After all, that wouldn't be very nice.
[Action]
[He shrugs.]
Luckily most a' the ones I run into are easy enough to handle.
[Action]
That's not true. Everyone can be nice. But sometimes, they just don't know how.
[Here comes this discussion again.]
[Action]
[Sorry, Grune, but he can't help but sound skeptical.]
[Action]
That's a good idea! Then they would do the right thing from then on.
[Action]
[How did he not see that coming?]
How am I supposed to do that!?
[Action]
[It's as simple as that! Totally.]
