6th Hat Flip [Accidental Video/Action]
[Somewhere in Luceti, Firo's draped over a tree branch, asleep and freshly returned from his mallynapping. He looks a little worse for the wear, but he's out of the woods (figuratively) now, isn't he?
Unfortunately, gravity's not going to give him a break today, and as soon as he shifts in his sleep Firo goes tumbling to the ground. How's that for a wake up call?
It's not far of a fall, but Firo's incredibly ungraceful landing doesn't do him any favors. There's a crunching sound as he hits the ground, twisted around so that he lands on his left hand.]
Ah-! Ow-! Shit!
[Firo stays lying like that for a moment: both in the process of waking up and cursing everything from the malnosso to the tree- whatever he can blame for this situation. Then, with some reluctance, he rolls onto his side and stares at his hand with a mixture of pain and consternation. Unlike what he's become used to over the past few years, it stays stubbornly broken. His eyes widen. This is not how it's supposed to work...]
What? Why isn't it-?
[He tries to flex his fingers and winces; it's then that he catches a glimpse of his journal lying open nearby. Great. Of course it had to show off one of his less dignified moments.]
Damnit... Are you kiddin' me?
[Sighing and gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulls himself into a sitting position. Arms crossed over his chest, he takes a deep breath and tries to recover some aplomb.]
So... Guess I'm back. Screw this place.
[ooc: Firo's back from being mallynapped and is now going to be without his immortality for a while. After a few weeks it'll return to its normal Luceti dampened state.]

She's quite for a few moments, even after he asks the question. But finally she lifts her head and answers. ]
I was talking to the monsters here. They're not like the ones back home.

[action]
[He's not sure how she'll take it, but he decides to offer a word of caution.]
If they're different from the ones ya know back home, they might not be too safe.
[action]
[action]
[He catches himself just in time.]
I-I mean since everything in this place is pretty weird, you should be careful around 'em. Who knows, maybe they get messed up from bein' here too.
[action]
[action]
...Yeah, I guess you got a point. Can't really give people a free pass just 'cause they're human.
You got any friends here? Maybe they can go with you when you talk to the monsters. You know, as back up.
[She's just a kid, she should have some sort of help in case things go bad. With monsters or with humans.]
[action]
[ She's fended for herself before! Sort of. ]
[action]
[action]
[action]
[If she really could, more power to her, but Firo has a hard time believing that from a kid. Even Berga, who's practically a monster now, wasn't unbeatable at a young age.]
[action]
Yes. I've fought lots of people scarier than monsters.
[action]
[He realizes that he sounds a bit too surprised.]
Er- sorry.
[action]
[action]
[There aren't any monsters where he lives, but his thinking is that a large human is comparable.]
[action]
[ Then again, most of her experience with other humans is from the Order of Lorelei... ]
[action]
[ Damn, he feels kind of wimpy now.]
[action]
[ The Fon Master Guardians were all about her age. Even though she was the toughest, none of them were really pushovers. ]
[action]
[action]
[action]
[Like the "bad humans" she mentioned earlier.]
[action]
Most of them are alright. It's just Anise and her friends who are my enemies. They've done lots of bad things, and I hate them.
[action]
[action]
They're here, too. It's not fair.
