6th Hat Flip [Accidental Video/Action]

[Somewhere in Luceti, Firo's draped over a tree branch, asleep and freshly returned from his mallynapping. He looks a little worse for the wear, but he's out of the woods (figuratively) now, isn't he?

Unfortunately, gravity's not going to give him a break today, and as soon as he shifts in his sleep Firo goes tumbling to the ground. How's that for a wake up call?

It's not far of a fall, but Firo's incredibly ungraceful landing doesn't do him any favors. There's a crunching sound as he hits the ground, twisted around so that he lands on his left hand.]

Ah-! Ow-! Shit!

[Firo stays lying like that for a moment: both in the process of waking up and cursing everything from the malnosso to the tree- whatever he can blame for this situation. Then, with some reluctance, he rolls onto his side and stares at his hand with a mixture of pain and consternation. Unlike what he's become used to over the past few years, it stays stubbornly broken. His eyes widen. This is not how it's supposed to work...]

What? Why isn't it-?

[He tries to flex his fingers and winces; it's then that he catches a glimpse of his journal lying open nearby. Great. Of course it had to show off one of his less dignified moments.]

Damnit... Are you kiddin' me?

[Sighing and gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulls himself into a sitting position. Arms crossed over his chest, he takes a deep breath and tries to recover some aplomb.]

So... Guess I'm back. Screw this place.

[ooc: Firo's back from being mallynapped and is now going to be without his immortality for a while. After a few weeks it'll return to its normal Luceti dampened state.]

[Unfortunately for him, she also doesn't notice the tree until he nearly walks into it.]

Oh, my. Are you all right?

[He steps away from the tree, trying to recover his dignity. He still shoots the tree a glare, though.]

There's just too many goddamn trees in this place.

Do you think so?

[But she likes the trees. And what does goddamn mean?]

[Now that the initial moment of anger has passed, his response is less passionate, accompanied by a shrug.]

Well, they're everywhere. Nothin' like how it is back home.

[Action]

Oh. [Did he say something like that before?]

But they're all very pretty.

[Action]

[immamartillo]

[He probably says it too often.]

You think so?

[He stares up at them contemplatively.]

[Action]

Oh, yes, of course. Trees are very beautiful.

[Grune looks up as well, only to smile at them instead.]

[Action]

[He looks at them a short moment longer and then shakes his head. Sorry, he's not really seeing it.]

I guess. Maybe it'll be easier to appreciate 'em when we're less lost.

Hmm.... We should go for a walk a little later so you can see how nice they are.

[Because Firo's clearly not had enough of a walk yet.]

[Action]

[He blinks at her, mystified. That seems a bit strange even for Grune.]

...You mean you'd wanna do this all again?

[Action]

[And she blinks right back.]

Oh, yes, of course. Wouldn't you?

But what if we got lost again?

[Their track record isn't so good.]

[Action]

Then we'd just find our way again.

[He can't really argue with that logic, though it leaves him with another question.]

...Does anything bother you?

[She stops to think about this.]

Hmm.... I wonder.

[That would be a "no."]

[He chuckles.]

I think that's supposed to be the sorta thing you don't hafta wonder about.

Oh, do you?

[Action]

Well, you know if somethin' bothers you, right? So then if nothin' bothers you, you'd know.

Oh. All right.

[Yeah, she's a little confused now.]

[He scratches his head.]

...Am I wrong?

[He usually is.]

Hmm.... I don't know. Are you?

[Oh geez, here we go.]

Uh, well...

[Give him a long moment to think.]

That's not really for me to say. If I thought I was wrong, I wouldn't have said it, but I don't know I'm right. Does that make sense..?

[There's a very long pause as she attempts to sort through this.

Finally, she says vaguely:] ...Oh, yes.

[Action]

[He notes that pause.]

Sorry, was that too confusing? I should probably just stick to simple stuff.

[Normally he's the one being confused, not causing it.]

[She shakes her head and smiles at him.]

It's all right. I understood just fine!
