7th Hat Flip [Voice/Action]
[Voice]
[After having a close friend return home a few weeks ago, Firo's been largely keeping to himself. He was aware of the danger of losing friends in Luceti, but it always seemed abstract and alien until it actually happened.
It's boredom that finally prompts him to address the network. That and the concern that if he doesn't keep using his skills he'll be near useless when he gets back home. Why not kill two birds with one stone?]
Does anybody here wanna play cards? Any kinda game is fine, or even if you just wanna learn. Most of 'em aren't that hard to pick up and I don't mind teachin' anyone.
[His tone suddenly becomes less light and takes a turn for the grouchier.]
But if you're gonna cheat, save it. I'll know.
[He wasn't put in charge of a Family casino for nothing.]
[Action]
[Soon after he makes his message, Firo will be rummaging through the item shop for a few packs of cards, carefully going through each one he finds to make sure they're complete. Then he'll linger a little while by the art supplies to pick up some markers.
...No, he is not going to be using them to mark the cards.]

voice;
["Everybody knows those", is what he was about to say. But since it looks like he and Crow might actually be able to get along in this conversation, he holds his tongue.]
Well, they're two different games but you can use the same deck for both of 'em. Blackjack's a bit easier; all you gotta do is get cards that add up as close as possible to 21 but not over.
voice;
So...it's a game where you have to get 21 cards? [He doesn't quite get it...]
voice;
voice;
...Face cards? Aces? [He vaguely remembers seeing cards before, cards that had been strewn and left on the ground in places. Some had numbers and shapes and what looked like people, but he doesn't know the actual names of what some cards are called...]
voice;->video
[It was silly of him to assume that Crow would know the terminology.]
The ace is a one, basically. The face cards are the Jack, the Queen, and the King. Here--
[He fumbles with the journal a bit as he switches it to video. In front of the camera he sifts through a deck of cards until he finds an example of each and holds them out to Crow can see.]
These.
video;
[Okay he's starting to get a slightly better idea of how this works now...]
video;
video;
video;
[He shrugs. The "why" doesn't really interest him.]
video;
[It was only a matter of time before annoyance started creeping back into his attitude. >_>]
video;
video;
video;
[He starts listing them off on his fingers.]
...Royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pairs, and one pair.
[He finally pauses for a breath.]
If nobody's got a hand, then whoever's got the highest card wins. See?
[...Yeah, it's only simple to him because he grew up around this stuff.]
video;
And that's supposed to be an easy game to figure out?
video;
...Well, it's not as easy as blackjack but it's not that hard. Play a few times and you'll get used to it.
video;
Oh yeah? Then show me how to play it and I'll judge it for myself. [We're getting bored and we gotta have something to do around here...]
video;
video;
[Adjusts the book slightly--guess who was hanging out on the roof.]
video;
[Read: please don't fall and die and break Seto's heart.]
I'll be back in a bit. Sit tight, okay?
video;
[He waves a hand a bit dismissively, but fine, we'll try to patient enough to wait for you to get back here and not fall of roofs. The key word here being "try"...]

[He shuts the journal and starts walking. Fortunately the house is right up the road from the store, only about fifteen minutes or so away; but will Crow hold out that long?]
action!
But give it a minute and he'll be sure to pop out somewhere (a nearby tree, because what is normally just greeting somebody when they come back) with a--]
Hey! Took you long enough to get back!
action!
[Firo starts grumbling to himself when he sees the empty roof, convinced Crow must have wandered off. Much to his embarrassment, Crow's sudden appearance startles Firo and he jumps. He regains his composure as he turns to look at Crow.]
Hey, I'm here now, aren't I? You still wanna learn to play?
action!
Yeah, duh--otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to keep sticking around here.
[He would have just moved on farther elsewhere to find something else to do.]
action!
[Not that Firo's ever been much better behaved. He shakes his head.]
Whatever. Let's get started.
[He takes a deck--still in its box--out of his jacket pocket and tosses it to Crow.]
You have seen one a' these before, right?
