6th Hat Flip [Accidental Video/Action]
[Somewhere in Luceti, Firo's draped over a tree branch, asleep and freshly returned from his mallynapping. He looks a little worse for the wear, but he's out of the woods (figuratively) now, isn't he?
Unfortunately, gravity's not going to give him a break today, and as soon as he shifts in his sleep Firo goes tumbling to the ground. How's that for a wake up call?
It's not far of a fall, but Firo's incredibly ungraceful landing doesn't do him any favors. There's a crunching sound as he hits the ground, twisted around so that he lands on his left hand.]
Ah-! Ow-! Shit!
[Firo stays lying like that for a moment: both in the process of waking up and cursing everything from the malnosso to the tree- whatever he can blame for this situation. Then, with some reluctance, he rolls onto his side and stares at his hand with a mixture of pain and consternation. Unlike what he's become used to over the past few years, it stays stubbornly broken. His eyes widen. This is not how it's supposed to work...]
What? Why isn't it-?
[He tries to flex his fingers and winces; it's then that he catches a glimpse of his journal lying open nearby. Great. Of course it had to show off one of his less dignified moments.]
Damnit... Are you kiddin' me?
[Sighing and gritting his teeth against the pain, he pulls himself into a sitting position. Arms crossed over his chest, he takes a deep breath and tries to recover some aplomb.]
So... Guess I'm back. Screw this place.
[ooc: Firo's back from being mallynapped and is now going to be without his immortality for a while. After a few weeks it'll return to its normal Luceti dampened state.]

She still doesn't really understand why he's apologizing, but it seems to be important to him. And so she says:] It's all right. I know you won't, and I'm not upset. So you shouldn't worry, okay?
Well, if you say so... Thanks.
[He glances down at his hand, marveling at how it feels good as new. His smile broadens and he looks back up at her.]
Really, thanks!
You're welcome! I'm glad I could help.
[...But she probably won't be moving about for a moment or two. My, she feels a little dizzy.]
[He pauses and blinks. She looks a little odd, but he can't tell if it's just Grune being Grune or if something's wrong.]
[Because before she came to Luceti, she couldn't heal anyone at all. She's glad she can now.]
[He leans down to pick up his journal; they should probably get somewhere with fewer trees. If she's not still dizzy, that is.]
It's all right. We're friends, and friends help each other out.
[She smiles.] I'm sure that someday, you'll be able to help me, too. So you don't need to worry.
Um, Grune? You alright?
Oh, yes, I'm just fine.
[Firo may notice that, despite her words, she's a little paler than usual.]
You don't look fine. Maybe we should get you to the clinic.
[He glances around to try and get his bearings. The clinic should be somewhere to the south, right?]
It's all right. I'm just a little tired. I think I used a bit too much of my eres all at once, that's all.
[In other words, she wore herself out healing you. Whoops.]
[Golly, Firo feels pretty awful right now.]
W-well, then we need to get you somewhere where you can rest!
[Just don't go breaking any more bones, okay?]
[He feels responsible to fix this, seeing as how it's all his fault in the first place. He takes a few steps in the direction of civilization- moving backwards to keep an eye on her.]
C'mon, we gotta go.
Her first two steps are a little unsteady, but the next few are better. See? She really is just fine.]
a lota bit.]Does this happen every time you heal somebody?
[And she's never been able to heal before, so she doesn't have the experience that would let her go for longer without exhausting her reserves.]
[He can't help but wonder if she knew she'd have to use up so much eres to heal.]
[Like healing a friend's broken hand, for example.]
[Maybe he should stop there; he has no right to tell her how to use her eres. Still, he's worried. It's like when Ronnie goes off to handle negotiations all by himself-- even when he comes back in one piece Firo has to be concerned that he'll overextend himself one day.]
...But should you really be doin' stuff like that? You could hurt yourself.
It's all right. I won't hurt myself. I'm happy I can look after my friends, so I don't mind if it makes me need to rest for a while.
Well, if you're sure... Just don't overdo it, okay?
[And he'll make a mental note to never tell her if he manages to get himself injured again.]
I won't. I promise.
[...Just don't ask her what her definition of "overdoing it" is.]
I'm gonna hold ya to that.
How're you feelin' now?
Oh, I feel much better.
["Much" might be a bit generous, but her colour definitely is better and she's steadier as she walks.]
